His career spans bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, and heavy equipment operations — commencing in Auckland in the 1970s and progressing to leading hand level across Australian construction operations before returning to establish independent subcontract delivery in New Zealand.

Ron's current and recent principal contractor relationships include Total Infrastructure Limited (TIL), Midland Construction Limited, and OMAC Limited — each representing established Auckland entities active in residential, commercial, and land development.

He subsequently extended his technical capability through an extended operational period in Australia — working across bulk earthworks, demolition, civil infrastructure, and the gas industry across multiple operators and sectors.

Lucas now co-leads Hetaz Contractorz alongside Ron, bringing a materially expanded capability set and direct experience in safety-critical, technically complex construction environments.
